Two days ago, I made a remark about Instagram being a great first door to get to know someone so here’s the counterpunch: social media creates a false sense of reality. I think everyone knows the famous saying “Never compare yourself to someone else on their social media. It’s like comparing your behind-the-scenes to someone else’s highlight.”

I can be very vulnerable. I actually share a lot of my insecurities and struggles with my friends. Today, I had dinner with my friend and shared with her how it takes forever for me to start something. Then she told me: that’s unexpected of you. I’ve seen you throwing parties and all, so I thought you were very driven.” I told her, “You only saw one thing that I barely pulled off out of five things I planned to do.” And then we talked about my first point – well, Instagram being Instagram.

P.S. I think I’m doing this because I have that rebel energy where I try to do the opposite of everyone else. Also, It’s not very new. I was inspired by other influencers who share their behind-the-scenes side like no-makeup face, etc. Still, it’s not something common we get to see around – not at all. Let’s see how it goes.
